EGCC now offering Information Systems to Free College Students with the support of
EGCC is now offering students a cutting-edge, Google help desk certificate that will prepare students for high-demand jobs in IT. This certificate is embedded in the Business Management degree.
IT jobs include in-person or remote help desk work, either in a small business, public and government agencies, or at a global company. Nearly every employer that uses computers has a need for IT Support professionals. The demand for the jobs exceeds the number of qualified candidates who can fill them. Currently, there are over 150,000 open jobs in this field and that number is projected to grow 10% between now and 2026 — faster than the average of all other occupations.
We rely on technology every day, but sometimes that technology fails us. Computers break, systems fail, phones die; and when that happens, we need experts to fix them. IT support is all about troubleshooting and problem solving when the tech fails and providing great customer service along the way. Whether you’ve been tinkering with IT or are completely new to the field, EGCC’s program is right for you.
Business Management degree with Information Systems focus
The Google IT support certificate prepares students for entry-level IT jobs and is recognized by employers such as GE, UPMC, PNC, Bank of America and more. The Business Management degree will prepare students for a variety of jobs in companies of all sizes.
The cost of this embedded certificate is covered under the Free College program and will introduce you to troubleshooting and customer service, networking, operating systems, system administration, automation, and security.
